Jason Dosher

Biography
Jason Dosher is the owner and manager of Outside South and Beach Fun Rentals with his wife Caroline.  He has a Bachelors of Science in Recreation Management from Appalachian State University with a concentration in Experiential Education.  After graduating college he spent 5 years as an outdoor guide and outdoor adventure program manager.  He and his wife acquired Beach Fun Rentals in 2006 and have since “fed and watered” it into what it is today.  In his free time Jason likes to fish, surf, paddle board and basically any activity that involves the salt water.  Come join him on one of Outside South’s adventures, you won’t be disappointed!!

Caroline Dosher

Biography

Caroline is the owner along with her husband Jason.  She is a graduate from East Carolina University with a degree in Family and Community Services and Early Childhood Education.  When Caroline is not at Beach Fun / Outside South you can find her teaching in one of the local school systems.  Her passions are vast and her customer service goes beyond expectations.  You will find her at the core of operations here and see her face on a daily basis.  Stop by and say "hello", she really likes to get to know her customers.

Lydia McCormick

Biography
Outside South's Kayak Program Manager is a talented kayak guide, ACA-certified open water instructor, and NSSIA Surf Instructor with over 15 years experience in the outdoor industry.  Whether managing retail locations, designing and directing tour programs, organizing kayak events, or teaching surf lessons, Lydia's passion for the water is the driving force behind all she does.  Come explore our local waters with Lydia and the crew at Outside South and experience the passion for yourself.

Bill Britt

Biography
Bill Britt is our Eco-adventure and Surfing Program Manager. He grew up in the area and has always loved to surf and explore all aspects of our coastal environment. After graduating from Appalachian State with a degree in Environmental Policy and a minor in Biology he and his wife spent a year living in Maui, Hawaii. In Maui he continued his passion for surfing as much as possible and attained a Marine Naturalist position with the Pacific Whale Foundation. The PWF gave him the opportunity to teach visitors about Maui’s marine life through snorkeling trips and whale watching excursions. After moving back to NC he attained position with the North Carolina Baptist Association at Fort Caswell as their Environmental Educator and Eco-Adventure specialist. For the last three years he has led an environmental based summer camp for children ages 10-14. Here he combined environmental education along with eco-adventures to make learning fun. He also led several adult groups through the years in activities such as kayaking, shell identification walks, crabbing, and beach ecology trips. His enthusiasm for our coastal environment shows through in his personality and makes him a great guide for kayaking, fishing, surfing, and beach ecology. Go on an adventure with him today!!

Dusty Britt

Biography
Dusty Britt is our Apprentice Surf Instructor and Special Services Coordinator. She is available to assist our team leaders with eco adventures and our clients with any special services they may need. Dusty grew up locally and graduated from UNCW with a business degree in 1999. After graduation she spent a year with her husband Bill in Maui, Hawaii learning what she could about the Hawaiian culture and of course; how to surf. After returning home she assisted her husband with his programming and marketing for his environmental summer camp at Fort Caswell and also worked in the property management field here at Holden Beach. In working with the growing number of visitors we have each year she has become very aware in the fact that each has different needs while on vacation. If there is something that you think of that could make your trip or vacation easier, more convenient, etc. please don’t hesitate to call on her for help.
